As RHA Insurance Services continues its expansion across the UK, the launch of our Northern team marks another step in strengthening support for members nationwide.
Led by Ross Hayden and David Blackburn, the new Northern team increases our capacity to deliver specialist insurance advice and hands-on support to transport and logistics operators across the North.
The expansion follows a period of sustained growth, with our Scotland branch successfully launched in July 2024 and our Worcester division established last year. Alongside our established Billericay presence, the addition of the Northern team further enhances our ability to support members locally while maintaining a truly national reach.

The launch of our Northern team is driven by a clear objective: providing members with better access to experienced insurance professionals who understand the real-world challenges facing haulage businesses today.
Rising operational costs, fleet risk exposure, evolving regulations, and increasing customer expectations are all putting pressure on transport operators. The Northern team has been created to respond to these challenges – combining insurance expertise with a personal, relationship-led approach.

Experienced Leadership
Leading the Northern division is Ross Hayden, who brings more than 20 years of insurance experience with particular expertise across the transport, aggregate haulage, construction and waste sectors.
Ross has a strong background in leadership, strategic growth and building high-performing, client-focused teams, with a clear focus on developing long-term relationships and delivering practical support to operators.
As part of the Northern expansion, Ross is focused on growing a team of client-centric account managers dedicated to supporting members across the region with responsive, specialist advice tailored to the day-to-day challenges they face.

David Blackburn joins Ross as part of the new Northern team, bringing a strong technical background developed through progression from Commercial Claims into Corporate Broking.
David has extensive experience supporting road haulage operators, alongside businesses in the waste, recycling and construction sectors. He specialises in helping operators manage fleet risk, strengthen compliance and navigate increasingly complex operational exposures.
His claims background gives him a practical, evidence-based approach, enabling him to translate complex risks into clear, actionable guidance that supports long-term resilience and operational stability.
